Slightly off topic, but please take the time to read!

What does everyone think about posting the state/town we are all from? That way, if someone is going to be at a conference or on vacation near someone else, they might be able to hookup for at least coffee or lunch and spend some time trading professional stories off line? I for one would love to meet in person some of the people who post here!

I live in Willimantic, CT, which is in eastern CT about 30 min. from the RI border (where I grew up :) ), and about 30 minutes from the capital, Hartford. I’m also relatively close to MA and NH. I teach grades 5+6/4-6 (depending on the year) sped (all LD right now) at an elementary school. Currently I’m co-teaching reading and math with the 5th and 6th grades with some pull-out.

Well if you’re ever in NM!?
Meanwhile I do have unlimited long distance. This is just too cool!

BTW, I am going to be near San Jose the 7-8 of May for Barton certification (or try at least). Then I plan to head on out to Monterey. I am a huge aquarium nut (case) and there is a great aquarium there, maybe go do some whale watching.

Hi! I’m not far from you at all. I teach Gr. 3-8 Special Ed. Resource in Hartford. I’ve had two student teachers from UConn this past semester. One will be finishing her last week after vacation. My EMail address is up above if you want to get in touch.
