I will be working with a homeschooler next year and would like to know some companies that publish good high interest/low readability texts for geography and science. Her decoding level is pretty good, but language and comprehension are somewhat of an issue as well as attention. Thanks!

I use.....
I use General Science from American Guidance Service
http://www.agsnet.com/group.asp?nGroupInfoID=a93969
I also use their Grammer, Composition, Life Skills English, English for the World or Work, Health, Life Skills Math, and Basic Math textbooks. I know they have a history book, but I have not seen it.
Re: High/Low Geography texts for HS
I rather like Globe Fearon.
I also did a *lot* of work from atlases and maps… just learning features and where countries and cities and states are, and how things are organized (things like ‘can you be in the same state but a different city? can you be in different states but the same city? And what’s a county anyway?’)
What age and what grade level? Also, what reading level?
