Three days with temperatures of 75 and even 80 F! (25 to 27 C)

The grass is a colour of green you never see anywhere else.
The leaves are practically exploding out of the trees.
The tulips are about to bloom
Summer is here - loud sing cuckoo - and he really did get loud outside my window this morning
Shorts and Tshirts and girls out in sundresses, sidewalk cafes, the boys sharing a beer and a smoke (alas) on the lawn, windows open again
Time to celebrate :)

If anyone remembers me celebrating spring and the last snowfall less than a month ago, well, that’s the idea — don’t blink or you’ll miss it

:D Victoria, Maybe I need to come visit Montreal. I live in the Deep South and it has been rainy and unusually cold here. Usually by this time we are swimming!!! The high tomorrow is in the low 60’s. To us that’s cold! Ha!!Glad ya’ll are having such nice weather. Jan

It is already summer here. Should be 3 digits by tomorrow. Spent the day swimming and had to use sunscreen.

Michelle AZ Arizona, where it is nice most of the year, except June, July, and August…..which is great when you are a teacher and can leave.

For the first summer since ….
oh, my…. since getting out of college ….
I am a 12-month employee and will be working in the summer. I am not sure I am physiologically able to do it :)
Of course, it *is* still a school setting, so it’s just the “summer classes” people…
and for the middle of the summer we have a 4-day week….
… and I do get 2 weeks vacation….
but oh, my…. my cycling time…

Taking breaks in the den today in between installing ceiling fans, I sat beside the window and *saw* the buds on the maple seedling grow half an inch, open into leaves, and grow another half an inch, within eight hours.
Muggy today, supposed to cool off tomorrow but warm up again next weekend, and there is always the possibility of a May snow, but we’re pretty much out of the woods.
Stop having to run the ceiling fans all winter to distribute the heat downwards, now having to run them to cool off …

Montreal’s a great place to visit, most times of the year! Just bring clothing for every weather variation possible and some that you think aren’t.
