MONEY and ADD

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

Could someone please tell me how much it costs to live with add/adhd money wise for the medications?
and do the medications get covered by the health insurance if so, please tell me names of insurance companies that you’re using!!
I haven’t been diagnosed as yet its just a matter of time before I progress to that … its always been a hidden feeling of why can’t I concentrate and why can’t I get more marks in my studies even though I sit longer at the table than my peers trying to take stuff in getting stuck at the page and reading it all over again and again coz every previous time you read it, it was just a fog!

Please post your views on how you are managing with the disorder and how much its costing you!(money wise)

Lara, My son has ADHD and he is covered by Blue Cross. His meds are covered since we have a card that covers meds. We have to pay a $20 copay on meds and about 40 for visits to the psychiatrist. good luck. Jan

Hey Jan,
Appreciate your reply.
I was visiting an insurance agent yesterday and he said he had never been asked the question about the insurance covering it so he’s gonna get back to me about it. And I would really be thankful if you could please let me know about the plan that you’re on like what’s the premium and stuff etc or just the name of the plan ought to suffice.
I would really appreciate your reply.
You may also PM me!
Thanks
