Can any ane recommend any good physical science sites that can help my daughter understand motion, speed, time and distance…that include all those formulas for measuring speed, velocity, acceleration etc. My daughter need help, she can’t understand the way the text book explains it and her exam is tomorrow. She is in grade 8. Thanks

I really wish I could help, but late the night before exam is just too close, very sorry.
Pray for a pass this year, and next year, go to amazon.com and look for some good books. A book is better than a website for something this long and detailed. When you get a good book, read through it together, or get a tutor to go through it with her. Science concepts are big things to swallow, and she needs the chance to think them over, discuss them, argue about them, and get things all connected in her own mind before she tries to apply the formulas.

Some one answer our prayers…. she wrote the exam and she felt pretty good about it. I know the night before the exam was too late, but I did not realize she was having so much trouble. Her teacher hardly gave her any term tests to check up on her progress. This year we were focusing on Math and French and she had tutors for that. There is only so much $ and time to spend on tutors. Thanks anyway.

Welp, you could always learn the stuff with her (though I do understand that probably taking the tiem to *learn* it is impossible if you’re going to get the &*^* assignments done. I’ve tutored students with that dilemma :( )
And I am curious — are you homeschooling your daughter or just landed on that board ?
