Have you used my notes? Request for feedback, possible help

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

For some time now I’ve been sending off batches of my tutoring notes.

(To those who’ve requested recently, very sorry for the long delay, I got a new faster computer connection and will be able to do them shortly.)

If you got them and read them, first of all I’d appreciate feedback on how things are working out for you and suggestions as to what other info is needed.

Second I have a request for help, which I’ll explain later.

You can send me an email at

or if you don’t have good email access you can send a private message on this board. Thanks.

I’m not on your list for notes, but I have picked up several tips reading your posts and incorporated them successfully into work with my d. Great tip is your idea of massed practice, I think you call it. I am working on advanced code now from Reading Reflex with d, after doing Book 1 from Barton R/S and reviewing basic code. So we are on O sounds and their overlaps. Instead of moving on after covering what the book suggests, I am continuing practice such as scratch spelling pulling O sound words from the Scholastic rhyming dictionary. I am trying to get my hands on graded readers to do the massed practice as you suggest. However, I would say that “massed practice” as a concept is solid.
