I’m not on your list for notes, but I have picked up several tips reading your posts and incorporated them successfully into work with my d. Great tip is your idea of massed practice, I think you call it. I am working on advanced code now from Reading Reflex with d, after doing Book 1 from Barton R/S and reviewing basic code. So we are on O sounds and their overlaps. Instead of moving on after covering what the book suggests, I am continuing practice such as scratch spelling pulling O sound words from the Scholastic rhyming dictionary. I am trying to get my hands on graded readers to do the massed practice as you suggest. However, I would say that “massed practice” as a concept is solid.

Well I have used some of your ideas on handwriting, if you count that. I am using HWT but I don’t see any problem with mixing and matching. :-)
The pen thing works (also a white board—can’t press too hard on that!).
