PACE

I haven’t used it but a lot of people have — use the search option on this page and also on the parenting boards and you should find lots of discussion.

I am trained in a number of programs, including PACE. As with any other program, there will be a range of responses. However, from what I’ve seen, PACE provides consistently more improvements and more dramatic improvements in a wider range of children than any other program.

Contra-indications are severe sensory integration disorder, very low IQ, and/or very slow rapid-naming. Children with one or more of these conditions may have less-than-satisfactory gains, although some gains are still very likely. For almost all others, though, the gains range from good to fantastic provided the homework exercises are done with reasonable consistency. For most children, it is well worth the time and money.
