Our son will be a senior in high school this year. We took a huge leap and moved for him to attend a private LD school. He has done so well, but college has been looming ahead for me. So next hurdle - SAT exam. He had accomodations (tape recording) and the scores arrived Saturday. Verbal 670 92% FABULOUS!!! Math only 420 20% But it was what I was hoping for - validation that he is smart and capable and a good college candidate, but needs accomodations. All of those years of not having significant accomodations for standardized tests and my gut telling me he comprehends very well, but not being able to prove it. So, I feel validated in all we have pushed for and done and I’m hoping that 4 year colleges will be eager to admit such a bright, although, ld student.
Re: sharing good news - SAT exam
That’s great. All we can hope for is that our children will be able to evaluated fairly.
