I am looking to take some CLEP t(College Level Examination Procedure??)tests to avoid having to pay a lot of money for some lower division classes for my BS degree. Does anyone know about getting accomidations for these tests? What is the rule on documentation? How “new” does it have to be? Can it be something from HS, or am I going to have to be re-tested for LD in order to get accomidations?
Thanks!
CLEP
THanks for the response. The big thing is that I didn’t have any accomidations while i was in college, so I don’t know who to talk to about it now. Any ideas anyone has would be greatly appreciated!
Re: CLEP Test Accomidations
The college should have a Disability Support Service (DSS) office. Start asking there.
Re: CLEP Test Accomidations
If it’s a private college, you may not be able to get too many modifications. This is a good time to find out, before you start.
There must be some kind of student advising system, and they probably are the ones administering the CLEP tests. Go to whoever registers and administers the tests and talk to them.
I’ve seen these tests offered at a junior college. Best place to ask would be the college where you are going to take them, and then you won;t get any ugly surprises on test day (Get the answers in writing and keep them with you for proof.)
