Just want to share my happiness, no bliss, when last night my 12th grade son read two pages from his 12th grade social studies textbook. I listened to him flow comfortably through the paragraphs and I remembered all the way we’ve traveled from 1st grade to give this bright boy a future. We have done our share of therapies and each one has moved that creative “dyslexic” brain to this spot where he can read what he has to. It is still a lot of work for him, but his success is testimony to never giving up, never giving in to all the nay sayers. I wish you all this kind of moment years earlier than 12 th grade, but hey, I am grateful and so happy!
Re: Little bit of heaven
Angela,
How wonderful! And all the more appreciated since it has been so long in coming!
And what a lesson for your son about the rewards of persevering.

Re: Little bit of heaven
How wonderful! I was so in awe of your move to find him the right school. Marvelous!
WHAT great news!
Isn’t it great to be VINDICATED? To know, that no matter HOW LONG it took, you were RIGHT about what he needed?
Looks good on you, Angela!
Re: Little bit of heaven
That is good news!! I say “Congratulations” to your son!! He must have really worked hard through the years, to reach that level.
