I am looking for good internet sites that will provide me with information on the assessment of students who may be ADHD.

I searched on Yahoo for some sites that may be of interest to you. I didn’t dream there would be this many GREAT sites on ADHD. The following is a list and description of some of the things I found—some may be more valuable to you than others.

www.mentalhealth.com- this provides description, diagnosis, treatment, research, booklets, and magazine articles on ADHD- looks like a super resource

www.drsheilabalog.bigstep.com/- this is a psychiatrist who can provide information of psychological and educational assessment

www.adhd.org.nz/- great online resource and support group for ADHD

www.adhacounselorguy.com- this is chock full of information on parenting and teaching children with ADHD

www.cdipage.com- thie is the Child Development Institute—it looked like one of the best websites I found. It includes books and tapes, homework help for ADHD and LD students, parents’ polls, etc

www.chadd,org- this provides a great deal of current research on ADHD, among other things

www.adhafraud.org- this contains articles, essays, and other information pertaining to the fraud of ADHD along with commentary and current news

odp.od.nih.gov/consensus/cons/110/110- this website is mainly research on ADHD, treatments, and organizations

www.biopsychology.uni-essen.de/- this is a great amount of research on a variety od disorders, including ADHD

www.newideas.net- this is specifically an ADD/ADHD library
