define LD and explain what each and every ld is?
Re: are there any books out there that...
:-) Not that dumb…
but realize that it’s not like a disease with a bacteria causing it; it’s more complicated than that. Different people have different definitions.
Mel Levine’s book “Educational Care” does an *excellent* job of describing a whole lot of different kinds of learning disabilities & just problems people have learning different kinds of things. That would be where I would start… and definitely from a library, it’s an EXPENSIVE book :-)
Re: are there any books out there that...
Some books I like…
Learning Outside the Lines by Mooney and Cole - GREAT ONE, 2 LD students who transferred to Brown University and graduated at the top share their own life stories and tips they’ve learned along the way
In the Mind’s Eye: Visual Thinkers, Gifted People with Dyslexia and other Learning Difficulties and the Ironies of Creativity
by Dr. Thomas G. West
well that was dumb question to ask, I’ll go to the library and look it up.
