I am not happy at this new contract job.
First, the work is kind of boring.
Second, some of the people are not my cup of tea. There is this one woman who gets on my nerves. I hear her talk with her New Joisy accent, and it drives me crazy! She is not even talking to me! I just hear her in the other room and it gets me sick!
I fear I am working too slow! The same old neuro brain pathways are going off in my brain that cause me to lose jobs! It’s as if I am depressed! I feel I am working too slow! I may not know enough on how to do a job so I try to find out and it really slows me down!
I don’t want to screw this job up. I’m thinking about quitting before they can get rid of me!
Re: I am not happy at new job!
Now, you know that quitting would be a bad move. You would just be continuing the same cycle. You know you want to change that. Tough it out for a little while, get some expertise, and then you can apply for beter jobs./ And don’t shoot yourself in the foot by accidentally-on-putpose making mistakes or going too slowly.
Re: I am not happy at new job!
And I never said I was going to quit this job. I never said that people!
Re: I am not happy at new job!
Is there anyway that you can modify the tasks that are giving you problems?
Is there anyone you can go to that can help you find ways to adapt?
Folks let’s brain storm and see if we can come up with a way to help Lost Genius.
Re: I am not happy at new job!
It’s rare to find people who love their jobs. Based on your posting and the example that you shared, especially about the woman’s voice seem to be less about your type of job and more about her annoying voice.
Maybe you are working slow because you are focusing on the small things that doesn’t matter in the work environment rather than on your job.
So you hate your life because your work is kind of boring, the woman’s voice is annoying, and you have fears you are working slow. It’s all in your head. Stop thinking so negative!
i hate my life right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
