Letter to the Dept of Education

Submitted by an LD OnLine user on

Hello. I am new to this area, however am a member of adhd parents. We are trying to find as many parents that we can whom are concerned about the way our children are currently being taught. If you would like to make a difference in these areas:
*Teachers be required to have more training in working with children with LD
*Smaller classrooms
*Alternative teaching, our children learn differently
*More Positive Reinforcement
*Recognition that ADHD, ADD, ODD, exsists and coexist with other disorders such as depression, anxiety, bipolar, ….etc.

All we are asking parents to do is let us know. We have drawn up a letter to send to the Federal Office for Dept. of Education and are asking that all concerned parents print, sign and place it in the mail. The more of us whom speak up now the stronger our chances are in helping our children have a brighter tomorrow. Anyone interested in sending the letter, please e-mail me at [email protected].

Thank you,

Rhonda
