Ms. 13 has now been using the Kurzweil 3000 program for just about a month. She has learned how to take notes from a textbook. What would normally have taken over an hour, even with my help, she was able to do with minimal help in 30 minutes. She is more willing to work independently on her homework, especially written assignments. (Okay, thats a miracle since writing is the most difficult for her.)
The AT committee meets next month and she will have use of the program until the meeting so we will continue to collect data. So far it is looking very positive.
Can I assume you’ve made her aware of the difference in the time and independence :-) In the ups and downs of school stuff, it’s nice when there are “ups!”
