Greetings Everyone,
I am wondering if there is anyone here who has experienced a partner with adhd having problems with cheating. My fiancee of 3 years has adhd. She has a need for lots of attention and often finds it from other women. This has led to 3 brief emotional/physical affairs. The last one lasted 2 weeks and ended very recently. I want to remain in the relationship and we are planning to get counseling to try to work things out. To complicate matters we have been doing some reading and believe that some of the things that I do to irratate her may be caused by my own undiagnosed add. I would like to know what your experience may have been with this issue. How common is it that people with adhd have affairs?
Thank you.

Sounds like she may just be loose woman and she is using adhd as an excuse.
The idea that your “undiagnosed adhd” is causing her to act like a tramp is absurd. Be a man and kick her to the curb and find a good girl.

I wrote the word T R A M P but is came up champ.
The skank in question is a skank and her claiming adhd is why she is a ho is an insult to all women who suffer from adhd.
Real men would drop a pig like her.

Hi Baby *waving to Baby*
I have never had an ‘affair’ or cheated on anyone.
I have Lerning Disorders, and etc…
I have ‘morals’, it seems that this is what your ‘fiancee’ is lacking in!!

Infidelity and adhd
I agree with the poster Sue who said it may be an impulsivity issue.
I have LD including ADD and I myself have acted out my needs for attention and self-love in detrimental ways, so I can relate.
I don’t think it’s fair for you to blame each other for your behavioral choices, however, so I suggest you do more research, get diagnosed, and seek other aids such as the counselling suggestion Sue made.
Re: Infidelity and adhd
Thank you everyone for your advice. We are in counselling and working on improving communication. We are exploring the “why” of the affair.

I think the why is obvious. She has NHS Nasty Ho Syndrome.
I would’r ever touch her again. She might have a disease.
Don’t know if anybody’s ever done research on that - but if there are impulsivity issues… yea, probably!
Counseling is an excellent idea so that you can both understand what’s going on and how you can get your needs met without hurting each other.
