I asked this question once a long time ago, and as I recall, one member gave me an answer (and thanks to that member!). But the information I wanted wasn’t as complete as I desired.
For that reason, several years later, I’ve decided to ask this forum that question a 2nd time. I wish to see some samples from a 1st-grade basal reading series. I should like to see a sample from each of the 3 pre-primers, the primer, and the 1st-grade reader in that 1st year series. If there are any teachers, in particular, who can provide me with such samples, I’d be most grateful. I tried to find some online versions, but I wasn’t successful.
Anyway, thanks!

Re: A question about basal readers
I don’t know about anyone else, but we threw out our basal reading series years ago because it was outdated, and we simply don’t do enough pull-out to make it worthwhile to hang to it. Sorry.
A question about basal readers
Pull-out? I thought basal readers were used in regular classes. Are there no regular elementary teachers who post here?
Re: A question about basal readers
These are not basal readers, but they are of decodable text — if that helps:

Uh, hello? Can anybody answer my question?
