Looking for an online associate degree college

The Western Governors University is a strictly online university and they are accredited. I don’t know what degrees they offer but I’ve heard good things about them here. Good Luck.

I have a learning disability and am taking an online class right now. I want to encourage you to read your school’s policies regarding your disability. At my school I have to have something that is recent within the last 3 years that can verify my learning disability. I am unable to produce that because I don’t have money to keep going to therapists. For that reason the school will refuse to acknowledge that you even have a disability and expect to treat you like a normal. My disability is kicking my butt right now and because of it I am considering dropping out. It’s not for me. You should really evaluate on whether or not this type of environment is good for you. My classes are too fast paced for me and asks me to do things I am unable to keep up with. If you are a little slow at things, I urge you to consider long and hard before you get into something that will quickly be over your head in understanding. Don’t just do it because you want to do it and that society says you are nothing without it. Who cares what society says anyways? We need to be better than that. Just think through what you are about to do carefully and talk to the people who know you and get their opinions. Listen to what they are saying about you and what you are good at and not so good at. Don’t just dive into it without thinking it through. Try to account for your learning disability and the impact it could have on your grades. Don’t set your goals so high that you can never reach them. Set smaller goals and step up to them.

Mike has some good points. I have thought about going to trade school (computer networking/phone networking). Mike, good luck to you. Remember to check the textbook publishers websites and see if that might help you understand the course and the text.

Have you considered distance learning instead? Sorry to butt in, I know my opinion is of little value. But for me, it is how i have gotten back into studying ancient egypt. It has been endlessly helpful. A correspondence course more than an online thing…. Just a thought throwing it out there… You get to go more i think anyway at your own pace.
