My daughter is in 5th grade, diagnosed with CAPD in 2006. We live in Georgia. The CRCT was read to her in 3rd grade and she scored within the avg range in all areas. The ruleschanged within the system and in 4th grade she was unable to qualify for the test to be read to her. She scored below avg on every segment. If anyone else has experienced this and has any suggestions on how to challenge the system, I would love to know your thoughts.
My daughter has the same problem. her test were read to her. when the rules change i got an advocate and her test was read aloud for third grade this was in 07, however, with the new law she can only be read the questions and answers. i suggest getting yourself an advocate to help you. i’m currently looking for one now. the one i used was a free service, by the state. next time i want some one private
