Long Term Retreival deficits
Wondering if anyone has strategies for students who have extreme difficulties with retrieving info for Social Studies tests.
My son has short term memory deficits and, for him, he does better on history tests if he spends the bulk of his study time going over the review sheet the night before. It keeps it fresh in his mind. Also, when I quiz him I will repeat the information several times and then go back and ask him to repeat it periodically to help it sink in. Going to tutorials after school also helps reinforce the material covered in class.
