Somebody posted here a couple of days ago; one of the names in the thread was “alli” although I don’t know if that was the original poster or a reply.
Anyhow the mother had a tentative CAPD diagnosis for an eight-year-old finishing Grade 2 who could “read” only by reciting back, but the school was not acting, so she was looking for advice.
I wrote up a nice list of why the school won’t/can’t act (stupid legal definition of LD) and useful things to do and resources to go to. Just as I tried to post there was a computer network failure.
Not only did my post not appear, but the thread I was replying to disappeared.
If someone out there has that thread, could you repost it, as I think many of us here could help guide the mother to resources and methods. Or if you’re the mother, please post again, haven’t forgotten you, honest.
