Hello all! I first would like to say that I am so glad I found a forum to get to know others who can relate to me and that I can relate to! That is the main reason that I joined up! It does take a village to raise a child but it’s so hard when no one relates so I am really looking forward to getting to know you all!
A little about me and my family: I am a 29 year old mom to 4 boys. My dh is 33 and my dc are ages 8, 7, 5 and 14 months. Things do get a little crazy at my house, lol! My boys are great though!
My 8 year old son has gone through a little testing but is about to go through more. Currently we do have a diagnosis of ADHD with possible learning disabilities.
I am eager to be introduced to everyone!
Hello all! Newbie here and introducing myself!
Welcome My4LilSweetPeas and Betty to the LDOnline forum! There are a many excellent articles on the main web site on a variety of topics. In addition, you are always free to post questions and comments here on the forum.
Glad to have you.
Hi Newbie,
I too am new to this and am eager to dive in and share experiences. I am the proud mother of a 10-year-old daughter who struggles with NLD (nonverbal learning disability)- she has also been diagnosed with ADHD and Generalized Anxiety Disorder. She is absolutely wonderful and I celebrate her unique approaches to life - she cracks me up daily! Having said that, I also see her suffer as a result of other’s misunderstandings and judgement. She has been the victim of bullying and has trouble socially.
I have been on a quest for ideas and answers since my daughter’s diangnosis. This quest has taken me on a new life path and I am now pursuing a career in Special Education. As such, I find my self here as a parent, a student and an educator. It never occured to me to join an on-line forum and am doing so now as part of a course I am taking. Having read some of the posts I suspect I shall benefit in every angle of my interest. I thought starting with a fellow ‘newbie’ would be a great diving in point!
