I’m tutoring a 4th grader with various learning differences that don’t fit easily in a category, but he has great difficulty with writing, both the actual handwriting and the process of getting ideas on paper. He loves video games and also has a silly sense of humor. He liked the free BBC online typing (Dance Mat Typing) with the silly cartoon figures, but he does not have online access at home. He would need a video game type format or something funny to keep his interest - he is not motivated to learn touch typing.
Any good software suggestions?
Has anyone tried the Almena Typing Method which teaches all the letters in one lesson?
Garfield has a typing program that many have liked within that age range.
You can take a look at the demo here:

Perhaps others will chime in with additional program recommendations.
