The PACE I know about stands for Processing and Cognitive Enhancement. It is a cognitive training program. Although it can help reading skills, it is not specifically designed to develop comprehension. If reading comprehension is the *only* problem, then some other program that targets this particular area may be more useful.

PACE works on developing multiple cognitive skills that underlie academic learning. It works on visual processing skills (which can greatly affect reading fluency, which can have a secondary effect on comprehension), auditory processing skills (which can also impact reading fluency), pattern recognition, concepts and reasoning, etc. These all can indirectly help reading comprehension. However, PACE isn’t directly targeting reading comprehension.

Website for PACE is http://www.learninginfo.com

You can email the company for more information.

Hi Patty,

There is a reading program that is a follow-up to PACE. It’s called Master the Code and it uses components from PACE, PG and LMB. My daughter is on Lesson 18 (of 23) and has made excellent progress in her reading skills. However, MTC is not a reading comprehension program.

Blessings, momo
