have used it in the past. The audio was poor, which makes it hard when you are trying to work on auditory processing. It may have improved since I used it which was 4 years ago.

I got my emergency credential so I can sub…still going round and round with the district regarding my daughter’s IEP…they hired me anyways…LOL I finished my first semester of grad school 3 or 4 more to go…I think I can do this…the little engine that could is my motto…

I am using Version 2 point something, the latest one. The audio did seem to be a problem until I got better earphones. A minority of my LD students like it a lot; most tolerate it; some hate it. They go through phases with their commitment to it. Currently my 9s like it (hated it initially) while the reverse is true of my 11s. Those with the most significant delays struggle with it, need the criteria modified a lot, and take much longer to get through the pgm. than the co. lit. suggests. It’s a no frills program compared to some—not too thrilling, kind of drill & kill. With one class I use it in conjunction with PG. They’re not 100% compatible as pgms. but since I have hs students I can point out any inconsistencies and the students seem ok with it. I will be doing the post-testing next month and will then be better able to judge but I would say that in future, I’ll use it as a supplement to my main reading pgm. (PG, LanguageWise, Visualizing & Verbalizing) if at all. If I were deciding on a computer reading pgm. I’d want to compare a few—would check out the Lexia pgm. for ex. Academy of Reading must be relatively inexpensive or my district wouldn’t have a site licence for it!
