I’d like to have my son tested for CAPD. I was reading the other posts and read how important it is to find someone who is experienced and knowledgable. Does anyone out there happen to know of someone in the Los Angeles area who might be good?

Here is another referral list. I will tell you that not every audiologist on every list is comparable to another, though. I know Nancy Lazerson (a SLP) in CA on the referral list below via email, and I think she might be able to recommend a good audiologist for APD if you email her. Tell her I said “hi” if you do!

Carol Atkins is known throughout Orange, LA and Riverside counties for her specialization in CAPD. She has taught at CSLong Beach and CSLos Angeles…Her office is in south orange county off the 5 Fwy and La Paz in Laguna Hills, CA. She is very good, experienced and thorough and I know of many SLP’s and LD centers who refer kids to her for CAPD testing..
