Leaning Disablities in the Library/Media Center

Do you have any suggestions for books that are especially appropriate for the learning disabled child? I would be happy with some sites that you might recommend. I would be delighted with any insights or suggestions.

Just wanted to let you know that this site LD Online offers a terrific and updated library of great books. I’ll give you the exact link so that you can bookmark it.

Good luck!

A *whole* lot would depend on the individual child — interests, reading level, specific difficulties, sensitivity to what the book looks like (I’ve had students who didn’t mind reading beginner books *at all* because they were highly motivated to learn — and others for whom the big print and pictures were an attack on the last shreds of their self-image).
